tongue piercing

Last.FM

Personal

My Last.FM radio profile is expanding rapidly. Playing a lot of Bif Naked, The Offspring, Heideroosjes, Nekromantix, HorrorPops (doh!), Young Heart Attack, MxPx, Blink-182.. not all of it is available for streaming but at least my profile radio should be more accurate now, and my personal radio is prepared for additional albums to be licensed.

Have yet to copy some albums from my workstation to the laptop though, so I can play more Weezer, Gob, The Rasmus, Fenix TX, Green Day, No Doubt, Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards..

And I'll have to get in touch with Charles on kde-devel for more Sirenia songs so I can get into the right mood for the gig in January.. we still need to make the actual appointment for the tongue piercings as well.

Finding the right barbell

Personal

The decision what tattoos to get is easy: if you know a decent body artist pretty much anything can be done. Piercings however, are limited in appearance by the available barbells. So, now that Charles and I have decided to get pierced, it's time to shop and decide what I should jam through my tongue.

I very much like the Blue Titanium barbell. It's slick and beats the boring regular color, without being a glowing piece of attention that looks cheesy. Not that this Glowstick barbell doesn't look like a party hit. But I'll stick to round and smooth for making out. The Union Jack barbell is a strong contender as well. There's something about British punk culture that makes it stand apart - then again I can probably get one of those for a few quid at Camden Market. The "male slut" version of the XXX rated barbell might be fun as well.

But I suppose it'll be the blue titanium one or the UK flag. Comments are welcome. Part of me still considers gold, which would be elegant and sweet, but perhaps a bit too posh?

Update: forgot to mention the lovely Fire Ball.

Concert schedule revisited

Gigs

It's time to make a new post with my schedule of concerts, or else I will forget to book tickets.

30/11: The Rasmus (013, Tilburg)
2/12: De Heideroosjes (Waterfront, Rotterdam)
14/12: blink-182 (Carling Brixton, London)
15/12: Hypo Psycho (Underworld, London)
16/12: Hurricane Party (Underworld, London)
6/1: Sirenia (013, Tilburg)
12/1: Green Day (Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam)
22/1: MxPx (Melkweg, Amsterdam)

And I haven't even started planning for these months yet.

(Update: I'm so glad I built a gig calendar so I won't have to write journal entries like these anymore! :-)
