God's crimes against mankind

Personal

I wrote a poem denouncing God, based partially on Tim Maroney's essay Even If I did believe which argues that if the biblical God exists, that being is a sadistic bastard unfit for worship. Of course God has every right to torture, punish, divide, coerce and even order the occasional genocide.. I just don't feel inclined to condemn such actions nor people praising He who is responsible.

(Now listening to: Mission From God by The Offspring on Punk-O-Rama 10. Sweet irony.)

Small poem about London

Urbanity

I've written better ones, but I don't want to withhold this small poem about London. I do however wish I was a better poet as there are countless more places there where splendid memories were formed and friendships were built. And there must be far better words to describe what a wonderful city it is. Whenever I visit I feel like I belong there and I am looking forward to return for my birthday. Also, it just comes to mind that I could've done a nice wicked/cricket rhyme.

I'm off for the weekend now and will hopefully return with a revised, better poem on Monday.

Update, Monday: Or not.

Poetry access levels

Personal

They are back: access levels for my poetry! There are four levels: public (everyone can see them), mates (registered friends only), muse (the personal ones I/we would like to keep special) and private (mostly crappy ones I'd rather not show until they are less recent). I can also give individual users access to individual poems.

Wij en Zij

Personal

Inspired by my previous post, I wrote a poem on terrorism in the Netherlands. It does not happen often I feel like writing in Dutch, but I feel I can reach the target audience better this way. Een gedicht over Theo van Gogh, terrorisme, wij en zij. Feel free to copy/paste it on your blog or MSN.
