New haircut.. have patience!
- Posted by Rob (#1) on January 20, 2008 23:39 CET
In case you're wondering why I still haven't uploaded a picture of my new haircut: my home Internet won't be restored until after my upcoming skiing trip.
I do of course have Internet access on my mobile, however Opera Mini doesn't allow me to upload files from my memorycard. And although it can take pictures, I don't like the dimension mos orientation of the ones it takes.
I suppose I'll have to upload it in the morning when at work!
Update: gone with the emo, back with the punk. Check the pictures here, here and here!

Emo follows the dodo
- Posted by Rob (#1) on August 23, 2006 12:46 CEST
I have finally accepted emo as a valid lifestyle (to mock) and those of you who witnessed my Super-Emo cape at Lowlands will know why. But alas, science decided to send emo the way of the dodo:
A new breed of permanently 'cheerful' mouse is providing hope of a new treatment for clinical depression. TREK-1 is a gene that can affect transmission of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is known to play an important role in mood, sleep and sexuality. By breeding mice with an absence of TREK-1, researchers were able create a depression-resistant strain.
Hopefully these nerds will never find the gene for masochism. I'm cool with scientists who spend their Saturday nights alone in a laboratory. But I won't let them touch the mosh pit or neck biting. Oh no.

How many emo kids does it take..
- Posted by Rob (#1) on April 21, 2006 13:39 CEST
Funny joke found on Slashdot (not that that's the original):
Q: How many emo kids does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. They just sit in the dark and cry.
But only after they've dropped the defective bulb to use it as a razorblade, of course. Which is probably the reason why the bulb needed to be changed in the first place.
Or how about..
Q: If a blonde and an emo kid jump off a building and hit the ground at the same time, who dies first?
A: The blonde, she drowns in the emo kid's tears.

Emo confession
- Posted by Rob (#1) on March 14, 2006 23:45 CET
Inge, I miss you. I wish I could fall asleep having you in my arms. I wish I could wake up having you near me. I wish you would be here right now to bite my neck (slave to the fetish!) and I wish I could be late for work because we've been making out all night.
But despite that not being true, you being in Veldhoven and me in Rotterdam.. I'm rather glad to have you as my girlfriend. I just thought you should know.
