This is the end, my only friend

MSN today:
me: had my birthday yesterday
her: how old?
me: i'm no longer a twenty-something
her: *offline*
Okay, thirty now officially sucks. I don't feel any different but apparently it's truly a big con for your social life haha.

Almost mature!
- Posted by Rob (#1) on July 11, 2007 17:59 CEST
My birthday is coming up in less than two weeks. Most people tell me to expect major changes in lifestyle and maturity when I hit that big three-oh, but they've been saying the same as 25, 21 and 18 so I'm reluctant to believe them. So instead of feeling blue I'm going to celebrate irresponsibly - in London, obviously. Booked my flight and hotel on Monday so I'm ready to party! :)

29 Tomorrow
- Posted by Rob (#1) on July 22, 2006 22:44 CEST
When I wake up tomorrow, I'll be 29.
Yet I won't be in London, Sweden, Frankfurt, San Francisco or any other fun place: I'm not travelling. I'm also not throwing a party, won't be opening any birthday cards, haven't invited people over, won't answer to any phone calls, won't reply to any text messages, won't collect free drinks at the pub, won't write about "things I want to do before I'm 30".. I just can't be bothered.
I might however bother to remove from my addressbook anyone who attempts to congratulate me. Just because I didn't leave the country doesn't mean I didn't want to escape.
