World Cup 2006 a disgrace

I've watched my last World Cup match this tournament. Australia dominated Italy but an unfair penalty in extra time gave Italy a win. A total disgrace. I'll watch international football again as soon as FIFA gets proper refs and no moment sooner.

Marco Materazzi is a first class asshole (like most Italians and Portuguese on the field), but there's no excuse for what Zidane did.

The whole tournament has been a disgrace. They belong in the third division, and they play like they're in the third division. Nothing is more gut wrenching than watching these untalented half-men dive and cheat their way to a world cup that seems only to reward such behaviour. Tonight, nobody in their right mind would blame Zinedine Zidane for what he did - that's how disgraceful Italian football is. The absolute worst thing of the final, besides having to watch a superior team go down to such false and vacant crew of undeserving and cheating primates, has been to realize the amount of time wasted watching this charade unfold with what seems to have been an inevitable result from the beginning, courtesy of FIFA. I have to wretch. Fuck you, Italy, with all my heart.
